Refund policy

We stand behind every baler we ship. If something goes wrong, here's exactly what we'll do about it — no fine print, no surprises.

30-Day Return Policy

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. Returns are subject to a 50% restocking fee on the original purchase price, and you cover return shipping.

Return Eligibility

To qualify for a return, the baler must be:

  • In new, unused condition — no hydraulic oil added, no test cycles run, no material baled
  • Returned in its original crating and packaging with all components intact
  • Requested within 30 days of delivery by emailing support@carboncompactors.com

Products that have been used, damaged after delivery, or returned outside the 30-day window are not eligible for refund.

Restocking Fee & Return Shipping

A 50% restocking fee applies to all approved returns. For example, a $10,000 baler is eligible for a maximum refund of $5,000 after the restocking fee is applied. This covers reconditioning, repackaging, and administrative costs associated with custom-configured equipment.

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs and arrangements. Original shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from any approved refund.

How to Initiate a Return

  1. Email support@carboncompactors.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We'll review your request and, if approved, provide return shipping instructions and a Return Authorization number.
  3. Ship the baler back in its original crating at your expense via LTL freight carrier.
  4. Upon receipt and inspection, we'll process your refund within 30 business days.

Refund Processing

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 30 business days of receiving the returned baler. The final refund amount equals the original purchase price minus the 50% restocking fee, original shipping charges, and any cost of damage to the returned product.

If you haven't received your refund within 30 business days of our approval:

  1. Contact your credit card provider for processing timelines — some issuers take 5-10 additional business days to post the credit.
  2. Check with your bank for any pending transactions.
  3. If both are clear and you still haven't received the refund, email support@carboncompactors.com.

No Exchanges

We don't offer exchanges. If you need a different model, return the original baler (subject to the 30-day window and 50% restocking fee) and place a new order.


Defective Products & Warranty Claims

If your baler arrives defective or develops a fault within the warranty period, this is a warranty claim, not a return. Every Carbon Compactors baler is covered by our 5-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

For warranty claims, contact support@carboncompactors.com with your order number, description of the issue, and photos. We'll ship replacement parts free of charge worldwide or arrange for repair. Warranty claims do not require returning the baler and are not subject to the 30-day return window.


Shipping Damage

Shipping damage is a freight claim, handled at the point of delivery — not a return. Before signing for your shipment:

  1. Inspect the crate for visible damage (dents, tears, broken seals).
  2. If damage is present, note it on the delivery receipt before signing.
  3. Either refuse the shipment or accept it with damage noted in writing.
  4. Email support@carboncompactors.com within 48 hours with photos of the damage.

We cannot process freight claims for damage discovered after signing a clean delivery receipt.
