Safety First Design

  1. The loading gate must be fully closed and locked before the press cycle can engage. Prevents accidental contact with the ram.

"Doubled order volume in 90 days and cardboard was everywhere. Staff was stacking it in the parking lot. Got our Carbon 43-VB on the dock in 6 weeks. Caught up, and we're already scouting a second location."

"Cut our hauling bill from $1,400 to $380 a month. Two of my staff used to spend an hour a day breaking down boxes. Now it's 15 minutes total. Wish I'd bought it two years ago."

"We bale 6,000 lbs of corrugated a week and we're selling bales to a regional mill for $0.04/lb on top of the hauling savings. The Carbon 72-VB paid for itself in 11 months. No-brainer."

Why the Carbon 24-VBHD?

The Carbon 24-VBHD doubles the pressing force of the Carbon 24-VB without stepping up to three-phase power. Perfect for restaurants, retail stores, and small offices handling 5-15 boxes a day. Same compact footprint, same 120V plug.

  • 22,000 lbs (10 tons) of pressing force — denser bales, fewer pickups
  • Standard 120V plug — no electrician required
  • Same small footprint as the Carbon 24-VB
  • Ultra-quiet for retail-floor placement
  • 1,100 lb shipping weight — easy to place and relocate

How it works

Load Material

Load Material

Open the feed gate and load cardboard, paper, or plastic into the chamber. The oversized feed opening accepts full-size boxes without breaking them down.

Press & Compress

Press & Compress

Close the feed gate and press the start button. The ram compresses material to a fraction of its original volume in a single cycle. The PLC monitors bale density automatically.

Tie the Bale

Tie the Bale

When the full-bale indicator light activates, the bale has reached target density. Thread wire through the pre-cut channels and tie off.

Eject & Remove

Eject & Remove

Press both eject buttons simultaneously (dual-hand safety). The automatic chain ejector pushes the finished bale out for forklift pickup.

Common Questions

Is it safe?

Yes. Every Carbon Compactors baler ships from a CE-certified factory and meets ANSI Z245.5 and OSHA 1910.218 requirements. Safety package is standard — no upgrades, no add-ons:

  • Interlocked loading gate — ram cuts out the instant the gate opens mid-cycle.
  • Mushroom-head emergency stop on the control panel halts all hydraulic motion in one press.
  • Anti-rebound gate — mechanical catch holds compressed material if hydraulic pressure drops.
  • Omron G9SE-201 safety relay — fail-safe shutoff that runs independently of the main PLC. If the controller faults, the safety circuit still trips the machine.
  • Omron CP2E PLC manages every cycle for predictable, repeatable operation.
  • Two-hand bale ejection — both hands must be on the controls during eject.
  • Hydraulic overload protection — pressure relief valve prevents over-force damage to the machine and operator.
Will it fit my space?

Here are the exact dimensions for the Carbon 24-VBHD:

  • Height: 7 ft 4 in (needs a 8 ft ceiling minimum)
  • Width: 2 ft 11 in
  • Depth: 1 ft 10 in
  • Floor space: 5.5 sq ft

That's about the size of a standard kitchen refrigerator.

You'll need a level concrete floor (3,000 PSI or stronger) and clear access from your back door to the install spot. Not sure? Send us a photo of your space and we'll confirm fit.

Do I need 3-phase power?
The Carbon 24-VB and Carbon 24-VBHD plug into a regular 120V outlet. All bigger balers need 3-phase power, which most warehouses and stores already have. If you don't have it, an electrician can wire it in 1 to 2 hours. Most pay $500 to $2,000.
How long to train my staff?
About 30 minutes. Anyone on your team can run it after a short walkthrough — no special license required. Every baler ships with an operator manual and a safety briefing checklist; we recommend a 15-minute review with each new operator before first use.
What's included when it ships?
  • Your baler
  • Free freight to your dock
  • Liftgate service (no forklift needed)
  • Starter roll of baling wire
  • The operating manual
  • The safety manual
  • 5-year warranty

The only thing you buy yourself is AW-46 hydraulic oil. About $50 to $80 at Home Depot, Tractor Supply, or any auto parts store. The amount depends on your baler size (5 to 15 gallons).

How fast can you ship?
Most balers go from order to your dock in 6 to 8 weeks. We build in batches and keep some in stock. If you need it faster, call us and we'll see if we have one ready early in the color you want.
Who installs it? How long does setup take?
You do, and it takes about 2 hours. Roll the baler onto a level concrete floor with a forklift or pallet jack. Anchor it to the slab with four 3/4" anchor bolts — your concrete needs to be 3,000 psi or stronger (most warehouse, retail, and dock-area slabs already are). Fill the hydraulic tank with AW-46 hydraulic oil — Home Depot, Tractor Supply, or any auto parts store carries it. We send a step-by-step guide and walk you through it on a call.
Can I finance it?
Yes. We work with Crest Capital, Balboa Capital, and National Business Capital. Most deals are 36 to 60 months with $0 down for qualified buyers. You get an answer in 48 hours, just let us know.
What does the 5-year warranty actually cover?
Everything that breaks from normal use. The frame, the hydraulics, the electrical. Parts ship from our US inventory. No paid upgrade. The only things not covered are damage from misuse or changes you make to the machine.
